2011-03-17 // 19:59:52 Mrlavinyl Really nice pic in Cuzco

Thank you very much and adding it to your fav plus the vote...that was nice.
That whole day was a great time. The peruvian people are so down to earth...very comfortable to be with.
Thanks Again and Good Health to you.

2011-02-10 // 18:07:25 theprokofiev It's a great shot anyway. It's weird isn't it - even when I take a half decent shot I want it to be better and when someone else takes a good shot I think "I'd be happy with that one."

I find that statement fairly true for myself also.
No truer words have been spoken for probably any visual artists.
Thank you for that pearl of wisdom.
From the desert of long shadows....John
2011-02-10 // 17:48:32 theprokofiev I think the colours are brilliant. I do sometimes wish the SX-70 had a zoom though
^
I was wishing for greater detail (more sunlight). But you're right...just capturing light for a moment in time.
A zoom would have been a great boon for the SX70. The only lens they (polaroid) offered a 1.5 tele add-on. Which I didn't have at the time...darn it!!
2011-02-10 // 17:36:37 theprokofiev Lovely story John and I am glad they got to keep a couple of polaroids. The way you captured the girl casually combing her air in the middle of two train track really makes the shot for me.

I was soo lucky to get that image. My only regret was, I wished the image quality was a little better. It was an early cloudy morning.
2011-02-09 // 09:50:07 theprokofiev Lovely shots John. Did you let them keep one of the polaroids?

Thank you for stopping in and the nice comment. Also adding to your fav list!
If memory servs me...I gave a shot to the girl in the royal blue sweater and another one to the girl in the pink sweater (my favorite).
I asked one of the train enginneer ( who spoke some english) to let the girls know that I didn't have enough film to get all they're images.
He mentioned that they were all friends and they would share the pictures between them.
