the new skin is THE good idea. I have a bunch of 100 waiting to get new eyes. Next conversion I make, I'll copy you.

looooks good. I like the cable release contraption you put together.
I would love to convert some more, if I can get come lenses for cheap.

But I like the leather on the front, too.
Maybe I'll do it to all my packfilm cameras...

that might be a clever route to go.

(hehe.. just remember when i 'made' a lensboard with a drill and file on the balcony one afternoon. neighbours were looking strange.)

Wasn't it nerve-wracking, doing the conversion, wondering if you were really going to get it all back together again? I once converted the old, original functionless Holga to bulb mode. It only a piece of plastic crap I was working with, but even that seemed horribly scary.
^
kinda sort of. I got really scared when I opened the shutter on accident, and something came unlatched in there. Spent about an hour trying to figure out what I screwed up. But it works... just not on bulb anymore.

There were a bunch of tutorials online on how to convert, so I wasn't too scared. I was a bit surprised how easy it was to take apart. The only hard part of it was having to cut the metal lensboard with out the proper tools.

i don't know at which amount you can adjust the viewfinder (and i guess you would need a different cam for it anyway), but before adjusting you would have to set it for infinity, and i'm not sure (i doubt) it will be possible with the 105mm lens.
but however (even if not) - you can still use it for portraits as to be seen.
nice.
looks good. both (camera and image).
(ok. all three. you as well)

ps/ finally somebody who agrees the zeiss viewfinders are not better.

^
apparently, it can focus to infinity if I connect it to the back of the lensboard, not the front. But I will be entirely happy with this camera if I can focus at 6 feet maximum. Just have to figure out a way to adjust the focus to be accurate. Trying to find the portrait kit, I think that's around the same focus.

you can swap finders easily, so you could convert any model you want... is that a new skin on the front too?
^
I don't really like the zeiss ones. I like this one. Much easier to see.
Though, I have to adjust it because it focuses at 2 feet instead of 3.5.

& yeah, new skin I made from a polaroid bag I found at the thrift store.

oh, hey. thanks. It will probably fall apart in a day or two.

I sent you a package yesterday.
But I don't think I wrote anything.
Please don't think I'm heartless, I had lots to do.
