Found out today that rodeo is right in his suspicion about the "skull" being a bird... It is; except that what appears to be the eye sockets is where the legs has been, so kind of upside down from rodeos reading of the picture.
but, hey, noone else has guessed even close before (including myself), so all respect to you rodeo.

my first reaction was that it is a cetacean of some sort, perhaps a baby porpoise or dolphin but only 8cm makes me think rodeo is right. I know bird experts and whale experts so I'll ask them.

Thanks a lot. Lemme know if you find out something.

i think it looks like a bird skeleton not a skull- the two parts on the side are where the wings attach, the bottom is the 'hips' where the leg sockets go- the two holes that look like eye sockets are the oyster muscle on the breast, then there is the spine- and at the top its where the neck is...

are you sure, that it is a skull? looks more like a hipbone or something..or..maybe the chestbone of a bird..(reminds me of the remains of the goose we had for dinner lately..i mean this protuding ridge in the lower part...)

Hi Arne,
As far as I see (maybe itīs a bit difficult on this picture) the eye sockets are the two holes in the middle, on the bottom thereīs the nostrils - one of them is broken (the left one) - and in between thereīs the ridge of the nose... Maybe, at least.... I think...
