Memory, that Bergsonian "privileged problem"...I really like Updike's quote, I've never been a big fan of his but I find this one really relevant and telling. thanks for sharing.

^ I'm always looking for my memory, since I often manage to displace it at the most crucial times. As someone (Updike?) once said: "Memory has a spottiness, as if the film was sprinkled with developer instead of immersed in it."
