oh--i love this--true nyc trees! in the summer, it is shredded plastic bags from the winter, plus fading balloons. also, there are many red cellophane heart balloons in the trees come valentine's day!

^ haha, yes that really is the case, though i did feel a bit like i just stepped out of the movie American Beauty, staring at the loveliness of plastic bags blowing in the wind.
