a word just came to my mind.
(unexpectedly, randomly - from some hidden place within me it surfaced.)
where to look?
ah - here.
among friends.
i search the tags...
only seven -
this one is #4, by date.
this one, i like best.
;)
maybe i'm close to beginning again. so perhaps i should start with that which is oldest - for me. after all - it's just a matter of time before it is all dust, again. that which came from the stars will go back to them, eventually. sometimes sooner than we wish.
- watch for #8.
- maybe now i have an idea. something to pursue. to find.

don't read too much into this comment - i'm fine /mostly/ - just thinking.

2008-02-07 // 11:19:07 plaukas The favourite test shot location again? :)
Nice :)
^
again and again! I'll never get bored of it.
(but compared to the tv-tower, this one mostly is on purpose)
2008-01-27 // 20:41:02 calicant Type 47! don't say nothing more. a pleasant to the eye... and to the mind.

(ok, I'm quiet.
...I'd love to get hand on a roll 48...)

Oh! (I see I had the same initial reaction — oh! —as the girl below.) Ephemeral ephemeral ephemeral, but THERE. And there in such exquisite detail. Those tiles, for example, are just staggering. They do look like they were drawn in, one by one.
And I like especially the tags. Each one. Especially "gazing out of the window." Gazing out of a window in a city. The best.
I feel very lucky to have one of these now in my hand. Privileged. Same street, no? It is nice to have a little piece of this vanishing view here in NY. (And I promise I am not using it as a coaster for my afternoon cocktails.) Thank you, g.
^
you put a smile on my face, with _every_ little reference you made (and I made ;)
yes, same street. same hour.
but any hour worth a gaze (that way, not vanishing)
prieka ;-)
2008-01-21 // 14:45:05 My.Iowa oh!! this looks like a delicate and perfect silverpoint drawing--an illustration in an old leather bound book about riga--so beautiful.
^
thanks for the reference, didn't know it. love it..quiet photography related, silver reacting to create images.
mmhh..book. maybe maybe.
(btw, I collect old Riga books. very stunning, all those different views from the decades and political realities Riga went through)
2008-01-21 // 11:14:53 inkaust this is really special, g. pure magic of polaroid and photography in general. so good you scanned it with borders and arrow-like top.
stunning.

:-)
(I wanted to have the arrow-tab on top, so I had to held the camera upside-down, bit tricky but worked, didn't blur it for polaroid-god's sake)
