2007-11-15 // 14:13:50 inkaust i was just going to cut in and prove that Sliwowica is originaly a Polish brand but checked first and saw that just a month ago the European Union went for a compromise solution (several nations claimed to the protected destination orgin, including Polish) and all of them can use the name adding their own adjective. The funny part of Polish claim was that Sliwowica is not officialy produced in Poland. There is one region where they illegally make it (it's their tradition form 17th century) . It's about 70%. It's even on the list of incorporeal culture goods.
And it's a very good portrait.
Ciao!

Compromise, well that`s the wright thing to do.. ;-)
Polish Sliwowica mmm, i will like to try that. We should definitively make a Sliwowica party somewhere between Poland, Germany and Croatia to celebrate this amazing drink.. :o)
Glad you like the portrait and hope that you have`d great time in London.. 8)
(strong: father of a friend of mine used to make šljivovica, double destilled - best I ever had :) too bad nowadays they won't allow you anymore to take it with you in a plane..)
and good idea - I will get some nice vine for this evening ;-)

Mmmm, i like Sljivovica (maybe it`s one of the best schnaps in Croatia).. If you want, maybe i can see if there is some bus that drive`s in Hamburg..so i can put some schnaps on the bus.. ;-)
In Istria they are making just schnaps from the remaining s of the grapes , after they made wine, but i do have friends in Slavonia so Sljivovica is not the problem ;-).
Glad you like the portrait, Signor Marchelo is really something..
Have a nice evening with a nice wine ;-)
