its not easy to do out of the plane window shots. Reflection for one. This is lovely. It reminds me of when I fly over Southern Africa along the namibian coast

Yeah, I always enjoy Cloud Kingdom pictures. And that's sooo neat how you got a piece of land in the frame! I think this is the first plane picture I've seen that has land in it. Land from the sky is especiallyyy magical. When I flew home from Argentina in the spring I fell asleep over the jungle. I woke up briefly (magically?) at one point. It was completely dark outside. I happened to look out the window just as we passed over the bejeweled Venezuelan coast, lit up like garlands of holiday lights. A moment later we were over the Ocean, and an entire Continent slipped behind me.
Not to go on too much longer, but I always wonder when I see these pictures: did other passengers on the plane notice your polas?

^ i love flying. it's such a magical state. you're on your way to a far land, sometimes to sowewhere completely new to you. and with all those people around you with their stories and reasons to fly to a certain destination. and the state you're in when on plane is something so unique, where you feel you leaving things on a ground from the moment of taking off. And then you enter different world, the Cloud Kingdom (expression such beautifully coined by you). you clear you mind which helps to prepare yourself for all those new things waiting for you after landing. even when you travel to well known destiantion. world is huge and stunning. and when you see it from above it can show you it's hidden beauty. sometimes the view is so unbelievable that you think it's too much for your small mind. as for other passengers, i guess they did (and do) but still, what they see outside is more amazing than the magic of polaroid. thank you stefan, joanna |
