The one i think about is completly covered with stamps that i think are low cost and stamps are the American flag, nice big red stickers "Fragile" too, very nice, i will do it tomorow but the scan...

That sounds funny with all those stamps. I wonder how it'll compare to my package from Moscow. `Can't wait!

I will make one with an American one (with my Macro 5 hhihi) on tha 400 i received from eBay, i appreciate a lot that pic Ulf!

Thank you Antoine - I hope the American package you describe has some of the handcrafted vibe of my Russian package. I've since received one more Russian package, but it wasn't quite as good as this one. Something about the relative placement of the labels and stamps and handwritten bits of it connect well on the pictured package.

I'll be on the lookout out for your Macro 5 shot...I am a proud owner of a Macro 5 myself as of a couple of weeks ago but haven't dared actually shooting a picture with it yet. It's such a daunting, imposingly large piece of equipment that I feel stifled everytime I look at it :-)

Now, do you want real pubes on your lolly or would you prefer me to fake some pubes using the original Pippi wig?

Oh God. I never thought I'd live to see the day I'd write those words. Looks like I was wrong.

Wait a minute...at what point did this turn into a taking requests type of situation? Fuck, I probably shouldn't have asked this inane question, because this brings out the strict headmistress Esther that will immediately reprimand me for my indiscretion. Whatever you do, if you do anything...don't ruin the integrity of that sacred Pippi wig! :-P

Something about the stamps and the stickers and the paper of it. And handwriting...

We might love FedEx for their overnight delivery, but there is no art in a fedex box (OK well maybe inside, but not on the outside). Who knew that brown kraft paper and twine could be so thrilling? Something else lost to technology.

As long as we all keep the postal services of the world in business, we can at least indulge in this sort of anachronistic fanciness when we feel like it. Of course I do agree about things having gotten less visceral and more sterile in the big scheme of things. Isn't that why we fight the good Polaroid fight against the hordes of dull digital cameras?

packerl aus texas klingt auch irgendwie aufregend ... was könnte da nur drin sein?

was eigentlich in dem anderen packerl drin ... die aufnäher?

^
Naja, irgend etwas was es bei Dir ned gibt? Vorzugsweise...

In dem Packerl aus Russland waren die Kosmonauten. Die Aufnäher hab ich schon vor längerer Zeit von einem ausgewanderten Russen in Las Vegas gekauft :-)

oooooooooooh
wie schön Herr Kastner ...
ich will auch so ein Päckchen bekommen ...

^

The pure feeling of getting big packages: like Christmas for adults! well captured

That's what it felt like, exactly! Thank you :-)

brown paper packages tied up with string are one of my favourite things!

Same here! I had this one sitting unopened in my living room for weeks, trying to decide how to capture it before opening it. It wasn't until a few days ago that I received the Spectra close-up lens kit to allow me to shoot this Polaroid :-> So silly, but I'm glad all the same.

On second thought - if this was a Sound of Music reference I didn't get right away I feel sheepish, albeit amused ;-) Americans tend to be a lot better versed at Sound of Music lore than Austrians in my experience. Alas...
