What you see here is the Grand Prize for the still running project, Retroroid #3 - The 60’s.
Although the project is still current (it seems no one has the power to end it), it has ended for me. The Grand Prize has been delivered to the winner, journeynoire, and the runner-ups have been decided.

I only selected photos made specifically for the project, and with film similar to that which was available in the 60’s. I love them all.
The contents of the prize box evolved quite a bit since I made this photo »
link to start the project. I replaced some of the items with better ones, searched my collection for interesting things to add, and searched the internet for specific items. I even got lucky a couple of times during my searches. And, I made a special award for the winner - a Schlexi.
The prize box itself was also something that evolved over time. After I’d decided that I didn’t want the winner to have to tediously unwrap all of the contents individually, I make a special box to contain all of the groovy goodies. I made the box from foam board, duct tape, glue, string, and even a little blood - after I’d cut myself yet again with an X-Acto blade. It was all worth the effort.
