Ricki, Thoughtful
I saw Ricki a week ago, and it was only moments before she brought up the photo shoot. she had some ideas, she said, she wanted to do another one, but costume changes and different settings.
which is what i love. just me taking pictures of someone who is completely still, who is inanimate until i direct them otherwise, that's work. but me and my subject, working together, exploring what we can do, that's what i dig.
i think i'd make a shit fashion photographer, how do you engage clothing?
of course, i'd probably make a shit professional photographer, as well. i'm sure The Man would force me to start using "real" cameras, then i'd end up in a fist-fight at a camera store, the cops would end up dragging me out, me yelling "POLAROID FOREVER!!!!" and ending up in the Metro section of the paper, "Nutjob screams some shite about antiquated technology, is beaten senseless by officers."
Cuz I'm black, see.
Anyways, this time last year it would take me months to burn through a pack of film, but nowadays i am throwing away a dozen empty boxes every two weeks. And there's so many more people to shoot, and shoot again.
So many people, so little film.
So yes, there will be more, Ricki, pick out something wicked awesome to wear. Like something made of records, or credit cards or something.
