This is Mill Hill East, an above ground station on the Northern Line; it is at the end of a branch (from Finchley Central) which used to extend to Edgware; it was built by the Great Northern Railway which became part of the LNER and then British Railways; freight trains and red tube trains shared the line until the last local freight to Edgware ran in 1964 after which the line was cut back to Mill Hill East
