you take a polaroid which you don't want to keep and (using a razor blade and straightedge) cut the image out of the white border. this leaves you with the white polaroid "frame".

after you have taken a couple pictures (you will need the space in the cartridge), go into a dark room and remove the cartridge from the camera. insert your new "polaroid frame" into the film pack, and then insert an old dark slide on top of that. close the camera and the dark slide will eject. you're now ready to make a double exposure.

the first time you take a picture the light will pass through the "frame" exposing the film underneath, and then it will eject the "frame". snap a second picture and you will receive your double exposed print.
