Gamma Ray Burst
Hurricane IKE
I took a major Gamma-Ray Burst head on last night; it was an unexpected luminous blast that caught me off guard. Normally I see these things coming by monitoring signals from the surrounding supernovae, but this explosion was different. I had to absorb an incredible amount of intense energy given off across the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
What pisses me off is not the violent death of a massive star with it’s core collapsing but that powerful jet of material the spinning accretion disk sends out at me to screw up my day. This is getting a bit old, and now I’m stuck once again in a Black Hole that’s not about releasing me anytime soon.
