in the cold cold night
this was the noidmeisters take at the 8x10 film.
in a day he and a friend built a camera, that then took this picture. this is a long exposure , but i wont tell you how long :P
im really fucking stoked on this film. its amazing. great silver and black and white tones. its a bit messy, but this was the 3rd pic i took and by then i knew what i was doing and it wasnt that messy. you just have to really watch out not to touch the caustic paste.. otherwise i have a feeling we all could be looking at some sort of skin cancer down along the road, haha!
peace!
*thanks are below to a few individuals
and this is totally unrelated but THANK YOU bastian and julia for the great gift! I will take it to America with me and use it there in the home land!
wow. i just want to say thanks to all the behind the scenes people that helped me get my 8x10 setup up and running.
first off, Jos, the camera repair man at the Impossible factory (old Polaroid factory in the NL) has graciously sent me the part i needed to make my processor work. I also have to thank the dood who sold me the processor, and how honest they were about the condition of the processor.
thanks to dan, who helped me add up the measurements for the camera we made to use this film, a very special occasion! and thanks to doc and the whole team for pulling together and developing a new 8x10 film. for people like me who havnt been using instant film for as long as others, its really nice to dive into a completely new format of photography and im glad to be a part of it.
