So I saw the sun shining on the amaryllis that was sitting outside and even though it was kind of cheesy I thought I would snap a picture of it since all of my others are sort of gloomy and dark or taken inside the house. Being a (momentary) dumb-ass, I pulled the dark slide before closing the shutter. I only pulled the slide out one third of the way before I realized my error and pushed it back in, thus completely exposing the bottom part of the image to light for a couple of seconds. Not one to waste film I re-set the shutter, pulled the dark slide fully, and made the picture anyway.

Much to my surprise I got the result you see here. It seems the exposed part completely reversed into a negative. Weird. Is this some kind of color solarization? No idea. I doubt I could repeat this even though I like the idea of a "half and half" shot for some things. Maybe I'll try again. Who knows what will happen?
