In Lambert park, by Alpine UT, there's an old pioneer farmstead. Of the house, there's only the cellar and some crumbling walls remaining, but the woman who lived there planted some roses and poppies generations ago. Now, every June a gigantic yellow rosebush blooms by the house foundations and the surrounding fields erupt into a sea of poppies!
I took this pola near the end of the blooming season and on the edge of the main poppy area, so this cluster was one of the few still blooming and isolated from the rest.
