so our class assignment was to go to a small town we've never been to within 50 miles of san jose and to take photographs [portraits, landscapes] and interview people there - sort of a sociological study. antonio and i decided to venture to the little town of soquel [just a few miles south of santa cruz] on the day of halloween [doing a school assignment on halloween - how studious!]. now, this town is so small the 'downtown' area is basically 2 blocks of antique shops and mexican restaurants. the town hub is a coffee shop called "the ugly mug".
i recommend giving it a visit because the people are nice, the one antique shop we visited was fabulous, and the whiskeys are sour!
