St.John's Chapel
The Chapel at Bolton, dates back to the 12th century and was built as a Chapel of Ease to St.John's Church, Edlingham some three miles to the south. It was extensively restored and extended in 1868 but has retained the C12th chancel arch. Like the Chapel at Bolton, the graveyard on many Saxon and early Norman Churches was enclosed by round walls so the devil couldn't hide in the corners and seize the souls of the Parishioners as they walked through it! Bolton Chapel is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage list for England. Taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Supercolor Autofocus on Polaroid (TIP) B+W film
